Run it right on your desktop.
The desktop app hears the interviewer through your computer’s audio and streams answers into a glanceable overlay that never shows up in your screen share.

Install in 30 seconds
- 1
Install it
macOS: open the .dmg (or unzip the .zip) and drag ZeroLayer into Applications. Windows: run the installer (ZeroLayer-Setup) and follow the prompts.
- 2
Open it the first time
This build isn’t code-signed yet, so your OS asks you to confirm once. macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway”. Windows: on the blue SmartScreen prompt, click “More info” → “Run anyway”. After that it opens normally.
- 3
Allow it to hear the interviewer
On first run, allow audio / screen capture when prompted — that’s how it transcribes the interviewer. One time only. (On Windows, use cloud transcription — on-device Whisper isn’t bundled there yet.)
This build isn’t code-signed yet (Apple notarization on macOS and a Windows code-signing cert are coming), which is why your OS asks you to confirm the first open. It runs entirely on your machine — nothing is installed system-wide. macOS auto-updates from then on; Windows auto-update is coming shortly.
Your résumé, notes, and history live on your Mac; the relevant context is sent encrypted with each question to generate an answer — never stored on our servers or used for training.
Invisible to screen sharing on Zoom, Meet, and Teams — the overlay is excluded from capture.
Optional on-device transcription keeps audio entirely local; otherwise it’s transcribed securely and never stored.
